Eating out vegan Thai cuisine. Plant-based tips for eating Thai food.

Since we went vegan our Thai intake has shot through the roof! Straight up. Thai food is so damn good, and most of it is already vegan. Chances are you will never have a problem finding hearty, flavorful and nutritious plant-based options at a Thai restaurant.

Here's some high-level suggestions on how to enhance your plant-based Thai experience:

  • Curry, curry, and more curry. Seriously, get down on some. It's mouth-watering and hella healthy.

  • The flavor of traditional Thai food comes from the spices and veggies. Most Thai restaurants will offer tofu (crispy or soft) and mixed vegetables as meat replacements. Broccoli is one of our favorite mixed veggies with Thai food so make sure to ask for that with your add-on.

  • Some popular dishes like Pad Thai contain egg, and some contain fish/oyster sauce. Just make sure to order without it. A good replacement for fish sauce is soy sauce.
