Bill Gates and Richard Branson invest in plant-based startup.

Don’t knock it until you try it. Clean Meat is the latest technology that produces meat from self-producing animal cells.

Mega players Bill Gates and Richard Branson are among the few who have teamed up with Cargill Inc., one of the largest global agriculture companies, to invest in Clean Meat.

With consumers placing a higher focus on the food world, the demand for healthy and sustainable products is rising.

Food startup Memphis Meats has raised millions to now produce animal products directly from animal cells. That means no raising or slaughtering of livestock, while still supplying meaty flavors that consumers crave.

Tyson Food Inc., the largest US meat producer, has also joined in the quest by investing in food start-up Beyond Meat as a way to sustainably feed the world's growing population.

I believe that in 30 years or so we will no longer need to kill any animals and that all meat will either be clean or plant-based, taste the same and also be much healthier for everyone
